Rainier's-Tacoma's AAA baseball team for the past five years. This is the highest level baseball team prior to the major leagues. In fact many of the younger Mariners (Seattle's professional baseball team) play here. The team is owned by George Foster, owner of Fosters Chickens. The Rainier's play ball at Cheney Stadium, located off Highway 16.

The Sabercats, Tacoma's professional hockey team began its first season in 1997. Bruce Taylor, owner and president of the team is the founding father of the West Coast Hockey League. Watch the Sabercats play hockey at the Tacoma Dome.

The Mariners, Seattle's 25 year old professional baseball team's home base is located at SAFECO field. Mariner fans enjoy watching baseball in the open air as the facility has a retractable roof. Howard Lincoln, chairman of Nintendo of America, is currently the Mariners CEO.

The Seahawks, Seattle's professional NFL football team is in its 27th year. The franchise is owned by Paul Allen, one of the partners who originally started Microsoft. Beginning in 2002, Seahawks football will be played in a beautiful state-of-the-art stadium that brings the beauty of the Pacific Northwest into the NFL experience. The new stadium is designed with a 67,000 seat capacity, with 5,000 additional seats available for special events, and 1,400 seats for fans with disabilities. With a roof covering 70 percent of the seating area, fans will enjoy wide, comfortable seats with sideline seating a mere 52 feet from the playing field and end-zone seats just 40 feet from the action.
